A Side Event: Fostering a Culture of Lawfulness in Support of the 2030 Agenda 

“TIJ believes that enhancing the criminal justice system is not only the role of lawyers or officers in the criminal justice system but, holistically, it should also involve all sectors in society and leave no one behind. Thus, fostering the 2030 Development Agenda, especially Goal 16 and 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which focus on the rule of law and inclusive partnership, brings the opportunity to make our contribution towards strengthening the rule of law more tangible.”

Hence, at the 28th CCPCJ, the TIJ hosts a side event “Fostering a Culture of Lawfulness in Support of the 2030 Agenda” on Wednesday 22nd May 2019, 09.00-09.50 (local time) at M6, UN Vienna, Austria. The side event aims to provide an opportunity for experts and scholars to discuss and exchange experiences on the related issues in order to sustainably support and nurture a culture of lawfulness in society.
