The Rule of Law in Thailand - Key Findings from the WJP GPP 2025
This in-depth Country Report provides a specialized assessment of the rule of law in Thailand, focusing on two primary components: Thailand’s overall performance in the WJP Rule of Law Index 2025 and Key findings from the General Population Poll (GPP), which captures the perspectives and lived experiences of Thai citizens. The report is based on face-to-face interviews conducted between June and July 2025 with a representative sample of 1,100 households nationwide. This publication serves as a critical update to the data last collected in 2018, offering an up-to-date look at the legal and institutional landscape of the country.

ALSA Forum Thailand 2022

A Global Study on the Impact of Covid-19 on Prison Health
Prison health is extremely important to public health, not only because of the high prevalence of serious and often life threatening conditions among prisoners, but also because of the continuous exchange between those in prison and the communities outside. Since December 2019, the world has been grappling with a new global health threat: the outbreak of COVID-19 caused by the novel coronavirus. Prisons have turned into potential hot spots of the disease. Despite chronic overpopulation, resource constraints and other challenges, prisons around the world have tried to contain the spread of the virus through various measures. This report aims to highlight challenges, promising practices, lessons learned and recommendations on how prisons have dealt with COVID-19, using examples from around the world.

Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice within the Context of Sustainable Development Goals
This book is designed as a contribution of the Thailand Institute of Justice to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015. The primary focus of the book is on Thailand’s experience in crime prevention and criminal justice. The book is also a presentation of the extensive research and technical assistance that the Thailand Institute of Justice has conducted in Thailand and among Southeast Asian countries as well as the TIJ’s work in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to develop and implement standards and norms on crime prevention and criminal justice. The book appears in connection with the celebration of the first ten years of the work of the Thailand Institute of Justice.
