The Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) was proud to co-host the 3rd International Conference on Anti-Corruption Innovations in Southeast Asia, held from August 21–22, 2025.
This pivotal event was made possible through a strong collaboration with the Knowledge Centre for Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (KRAC) operated by the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University and other esteemed international organizations, including the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), and the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG). This significant gathering showcased our shared commitment to fostering justice and good governance in the region.
A Multi-Faceted Approach to Combating Corruption
The conference united over 260 participants from justice agencies, academia, civil society, and youth organizations to address corruption from a multi-faceted perspective. We facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas, focusing on how innovative strategies and technology can combat corruption in the modern era. Key discussions explored the power of open data to promote transparency, the crucial role of youth empowerment, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in building more accountable systems.
Charting a Path Forward
Another highlight of the conference was the generation of concrete, actionable recommendations. On August 22, we engaged with the World Justice Project (WJP) and hosted a focus group discussion on the "Non-State Actor Roundtable on Anti-Corruption in Southeast Asia." We synthesized these insights into a clear roadmap for future policy development. We are particularly excited to continue this work through ongoing collaborations aimed at strengthening the rule of law and promoting a culture of integrity.
