Women’s Access to Justice in Asia: towards 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

From August 14-18, 2016, the TIJ research team travelled to the People’s Republic of China to conduct field research on Women’s Access to Justice in Asia: towards 2030 agenda for sustainable development.


The research team interviewed various practitioners and personnel that have been working on issues related to the empowerment of women to access justice and the provision of legal aid to women and other vulnerable groups such as representatives from Qian Qian Law Firm, a leading organization that provides free legal consultation for women across China, the founder of the Anti-Domestic Violence Network and the Equality Weiping Center, UN Women China Office, the Asia Foundation, representatives from the China-EU Access to Justice Program at the British Council and legal and research advisors from Zhicheng Public Interest Law Firm that specializes in providing free legal aid to migrant workers and children.
