TIJ and UNODC kick off the 3rd Southeast Asia Cryptocurrencies Working Group Meeting
After signing an MOU on Cybercrime Project early, Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) kick off the 3rd Southeast Asia Cryptocurrencies Working Group Meeting at the Eastin Grand Sathorn, Bangkok.
Prof. Dr. Kittipong Kittayarak, TIJ Executive Director stated in his welcome remarks that new laws are just one part of the solution to the cybercrime. To effectively tackle the issue, we need close collaboration and technology and capacity enhancement. And hope that the Working Group Meeting would come out with fruitful discussion to tackle challenges together.
The 3rd Southeast Asia Cryptocurrencies Working Group Meeting organized between 24 – 26 November 2020. The Meeting lured approximately 70 people from across 10 ASEAN member states to join online and attended by more than 80 Thai delegates from public and private sectors.
