On September 16, 2015 – TIJ hosted Panel discussion on “The Quest for a Model Prison implementing the Bangkok Rules”


TIJ hosted Panel discussion on “The Quest for a Model Prison implementing the Bangkok Rules”. The Panel discussion aims to exchange knowledge, background and experiences about the methods of operation to a Model Prison implementing the Bangkok Rules of Uthai Thani Provincial Prison by Thai and International experts and researchers in the area of criminal justice system such as Dr.Nathee Chitsawang, Executive Deputy Director of TIJ,  Associate Professor Dr.Srisombat Chokprajakchat.


In this regard, Dr.Kittipong Kittayarak, Executive Director of TIJ, also gave the Certificate Awarding to Uthai Thani Provincial Prison as a Model Prison implementing the Bangkok Rules.


TIJ looking forward to promote and support the implementation of United Nations standards and norms at domestic and international levels, which is the one of mission of TIJ.
