The Side Event: Redesigning a Borderless Youth Engagement for Sustainability: A Showcase of Outcomes from the UNODC-TIJ Borderless Youth Forum on Innovation, Justice and Collaboration for the 2030 Agenda
Developing an inclusive criminal justice system is everyone’s responsibility according to the Global Agenda 2030, especially, goal 16 and 17. The TIJ recognizes the power of youth in creating change in society and has been providing them opportunities to engage in sharing thoughts and proposing solutions to enhance a fair and just society. This endeavor led to the successful “TIJ-UNODC Borderless Youth Forum,” by the TIJ, in collaboration with UNODC in March 2019.
In this regard, the TIJ in collaboration with UNODC will be hosting the side event on “Redesigning a Borderless Youth Engagement for Sustainability: A Showcase of Outcomes from the UNODC-TIJ Borderless Youth Forum on Innovation, Justice and Collaboration for the 2030 Agenda” on Wednesday, 23 May 2019 at 13.10-14.00 (local time), MBR-A room, UN Vienna, Austria.
The side event aims to showcase the outcome of the TIJ-UNODC Borderless Youth Forum and share innovative techniques on how to create borderless youth empowerment and engagement. It will also provide a platform to share lessons learned and the next steps for wider borderless youth empowerment.
