24-25 February 2016, Dr. Nathee Chitsawang, Executive Deputy Director of TIJ and Ms. Chontit Chuenurah, Chief of the Implementation of the Bangkok Rules and Treatment of Offenders Programme, had a meeting with the Correctional Services Department, Hong Kong SAR. The discussion focused on the work of TIJ on "the Bangkok Rules and the Model Prison Project", Hong Kong’s best practice on such issues, and the possibility of future cooperation. TIJ team also visited two women correctional facilities, namely Lai King Correctional Institution and Lo Wu Correctional Institution, which both have an outstanding track record of rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders.
