Discuss the findings of the 
National Survey of Female Inmates

2 February 2016 - TIJ hosted a workshop to discuss findings of the survey on data and statistics of female inmates in Thailand.

This workshop aims to present and discuss findings of the survey on data and statistics of female inmates in Thailand which conducted by TIJ and a team of researcher from Chulalongkorn University in order to better understand the background and characteristics of female inmates as well as the consequences of their incarceration to the families.


Dr.Phiset Sa-ardyen led the panel discussion which included Ms.Chontit Chuenurah, Chief of Implementation of the Bangkok Rules and Treatment of Offenders from TIJ, Dr.Apasiri Suwannanon, Chair of the Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration Doctorate Programme from SDU, and Mr. Siripong Palakavong Na Ayudhaya, Lecturer from Chulalongkorn University.


Participants include experts, academics, and practitioners in the field of corrections. Dr.Nathee Chitsawang, Deputy Executive Director, also gave remarks during the opening.
