IBR joined 2018 World Victimology Symposium in Hong Kong
IBR members joined 2018 World Victimology Symposium at City University of Hong Kong to present a new research on Lives of Children of Imprisoned Mothers.
The Symposium, organized once per 3 years, welcomes academics, practitioners, and policy-makers in the field of victim advocacy to share their experiences, explore challenges, and develop initiatives for the implementation of international victimology. This year’s theme of the Symposium is Victims and Victimization: Moving towards an International Victimology. As for IBR Programme’s participation at the symposium, a new research on the lives of children of imprisoned mothers. The research is aiming to bring the attention of victimology to regard this group of people as victim under the current criminal justice system and also to demonstrate that victimization takes various indirect forms.
