“Offending is not the be all and end all of a woman’s life. They can journey through the criminal justice system with dignity and respect, as guaranteed by the Bangkok Rules and other relevant international standards and norms. In this regard, TIJ has been and will continue to be a partner to Senior Correctional Staff in the ASEAN Region in this long journey to ensure that they are given a second chance when they return to society,” Dr. Phiset Sa-Ardyen, the Executive Director of TIJ said.

From 13th to 23rd August 2024, the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) organized the 5th Training on the Management of Women Prisoners for Senior Correctional Staff in the ASEAN Region (The Bangkok Rules Training).
